Kajen is the shopping center Fisketorvet's new food universe. The new quay is a whopping 6,500 square meters and has three floors and a roof terrace - all designed by Schmidt Hammer Lassen and with a visual identity developed by us.
The opening of Kajen marks the start of a new chapter for Fisketorvet. A chapter where the city, the neighbors and visitors can enjoy no less than 30+ different food concepts - as well as a fantastic view of the water.
In close collaboration with Fisketorvet, we have developed the new identity for Kajen. The identity has a contemporary and clean expression with loops as the visual characteristic. The basic idea behind the visual concept was 'put it on the Quay' and the metaphor of a mooring became the overarching concept in both the logotype, typography and illustrations.
In addition to the concept and idea itself, AM has also developed an inspiration document so that Kajen could roll out/work with the identity himself. In the wake of this project, we have also developed a display font (A-Z + numbers) which can be used in headings. The writing DNA is the previously mentioned 'loops' which link back to the iconic K in the Kajen's logotype.
