Long story short

Meliora Bio is a modern biorefinery that upcycles biomass such as straw from local farmers to new and innovative products. The refinery in Kalundborg uses minimal energy and water and reduces production waste to zero when making bioethanol, prebiotics, and lignin. Bio second-generation bioethanol has a lower CO2 displacement compared to normal ethanol.

The idea and solution

We have assisted in developing the name, communication, visual universe, and website for Meliora Bio. The goal was to develop an identity and a universe that showcases a modern factory in a simple and easily understandable way. Basically making the complex simple.

The idea behind the dynamic "M" is to illustrate that Meliora can create something out of nothing and that there is a broad range of future business opportunities for a facility like this. The bubbles illustrate the "Symbiosis" mindset and the possibilities in the industrial area in Kalundborg, where Meliora is located. Nothing should go to waste here. The bubbles can also serve as illustrations that unfold the core narrative in a simple language - something out of nothing.
